Basecamp Nesheim
The idea was to create a temporary construction that could work as a resting place and a viewpoint for everyone using Nesheim as a recreation area. We added an outboardconstruction that comments both the ex-German installation and its agricultural surroundings. The black wooden box is called Basecamp Nesheim because of its practical function. The presentation of the characteristic landscape is shown through the narrow openings in the wall facing the agricultural landscape and the main view towards the sea. We hope you appreciate our effort to accentuate the ex-German installation as a cultural heritage, and the beauty of the surrounding landscape.

Bunkerology
Basecamp Nesheim is a part of the project Bunkerology – focusing on new ways of using the ex-German structures from the 2nd World War which can be found all around Lista. We wish to make them a valuable resource and we want them to bee seen, experienced and used both by local inhabitants and tourists. The project group work in the cross-disciplinary field of architecture, art, history and both cultural- and agricultural landscape.
